Arbor Lab. App
Last updated: October 8, 2026
Arbor Lab. App ("we", "us") sets out this Privacy Policy ("this Policy") for how user information is handled in the apps we provide (including "Grindcrawl" and "Grindcrawl 2"; collectively "the Apps"). This Policy applies to all of our apps. Where an app handles data differently from this Policy, we add supplementary terms or a separate policy for that app (for Grindcrawl 2, see Section 7). If there is any difference between the Japanese and English versions, the Japanese version prevails.
The Apps have no features that ask you to enter personal information such as your name or email address. No account registration is required.
Game progress (level, floor, equipment, stats, etc.) is stored only in local storage (IndexedDB) on your device. This data is not sent to our servers or any third-party servers, and it is removed from your device when you uninstall the App.
* In addition to the above, Grindcrawl 2 handles information related to account linking, Ranking Match, achievement rankings, and AI suggestions. See Section 7 for details.
From "Report a Bug" in Settings, you can open a Google Form (a service provided by Google LLC) that we have prepared. In Grindcrawl 2, when the form opens, the "Operating environment" field is pre-filled, for investigating the bug, with the app version (build number), OS version, the App's display language, and your device's language (this information is passed to the Google Form page when the form opens). It does not include device identifiers or user identifiers. You can edit this field, and you decide whether to submit the form.
In Grindcrawl, the App only opens the form in an in-app browser; no fields are pre-filled, and the App does not pass the operating environment or any other information to the form.
What you submit (subject, bug summary, steps to reproduce, expected behavior, operating environment, etc.) is used only to investigate and fix bugs and to respond to your report. It is stored as a Google Forms response and recorded in a private development repository we manage on GitHub (provided by GitHub, Inc.). We do not publish or sell it to third parties. Google and GitHub provide protection of user data equal to or greater than this Policy under their own privacy policies, and we use them after confirming this.
We keep what you submit for as long as needed to address the bug. If you would like it deleted, please contact us at the address in Section 6. Please do not enter personal information such as your name or email address, or passwords, in the form.
In Grindcrawl 2, from "Report on X" in Settings, you can open the post composer of X (a service provided by X Corp.) using your device's standard method (the X app if installed, otherwise Safari). When the composer opens, the draft post is pre-filled, for investigating the bug, with a "[Bug report]" heading, a mention of our account (@ArborLabApp), and the operating environment (app version (build number), OS version, the App's display language, and your device's language). This information is passed to X when the composer opens. It does not include device identifiers or user identifiers.
In Grindcrawl, "X(@ArborLabApp)" in Settings only opens our X account page in an in-app browser; no draft post or operating environment is pre-filled, and the App does not pass the operating environment or any other information to X.
In both apps, a post on X is published only if you send it yourself (in Grindcrawl 2, you can review and edit the draft, including attaching images, in X before sending). We never post or send anything automatically from the App. Because posts on X are public, please do not include personal information such as your name or email address, or anything you do not want others to see (including information visible in screenshots).
Your post, and information collected by X, are handled under X's privacy policy. We use posts that reach us as mentions or replies to @ArborLabApp only to investigate and fix bugs and to respond to your report, and may record them in a private development repository we manage on GitHub (provided by GitHub, Inc.). You can delete your post at any time from your own X account (if you would like us to delete anything we have viewed or recorded, please contact us at the address in Section 6).
The Apps use Google AdMob (an ad delivery service provided by Google LLC) to show banner ads and rewarded ads (video ads that grant an in-game bonus when watched).
AdMob may collect information such as the following to deliver, personalize, and measure ads.
For how this information is handled, see Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services (advertising).
On iOS 14.5 and later, a dialog (App Tracking Transparency) asks whether you allow tracking across other companies' apps and websites when you first launch the App. Even if you choose "Ask App Not to Track", you can use all features of the App (gameplay and ads) as usual. If you do not allow tracking, ads are delivered without personalization.
If you use Grindcrawl 2, or Grindcrawl version 1.5.0 or later, in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK, or Switzerland, the App asks for your consent to the use of data for ads (such as storing information on your device and personalizing ads) before showing ads. This screen is provided by Google's consent management tool (User Messaging Platform, which supports the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework) and appears before the tracking permission dialog described above. You can review or change (withdraw) your choices at any time from "Ad Privacy Settings" on the Settings screen. If you do not consent, ads may not be shown or may be shown without personalization. If ads are not shown, rewards for watching ads (such as the reward from the ad button on the "Welcome Back" screen) may not be available, but you can still use all other features of the App (gameplay) as usual.
The external service described in this section (Google AdMob) provides protection of user data equal to or greater than this Policy under its own privacy policy, and we use it after confirming this (for the other external services used by Grindcrawl 2, see Section 7).
The Apps are not designed primarily for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
As described above, basic game data is stored only on your device. To delete it, uninstall the App. No data is stored on our servers (except for Grindcrawl 2's achievement rankings, when you use account linking or Ranking Match, and what you submit through the bug report form; see "Bug Report Form" in Section 1 and Section 7 for how to delete that data).
This Policy may be changed without prior notice in response to changes in laws or in the Apps' specifications. We will announce important changes in the App or on this page.

Grindcrawl 2 provides "Account Linking", which lets you carry your game data across device changes and reinstalls; "Ranking Match", where you compete on the strength of the action logic you register; "Achievement Rankings", which compare the achievements of all users; and "AI Suggestions", which help you build action logic. Except for the data sent for Achievement Rankings and when you use AI Suggestions (both described below), if you do not use Account Linking or Ranking Match, the App handles your data as described in Sections 1 to 6. The external services with which we provide or share data (Google AdMob, Google Firebase, TypeSafe, and the linked account providers Google, Apple, and X) provide protection of user data equal to or greater than this Policy under their own privacy policies, and we use them after confirming this.
If you choose to link a Google, Apple, or X account, we obtain information such as your email address, display name, and account identifier to the extent provided by that service, and store it in Firebase on Google Cloud (a server environment we manage). We use this information only to carry over your data when you change devices. From "Delete Account" in Settings, you can at any time completely remove the links to all linked services and the App's data stored in the cloud (progress, match results, etc.). Deleted data cannot be restored.
If you link an account, your game progress (the information described in Section 1) is periodically sent to and stored in Firebase Cloud Firestore (a database on Google Cloud). This lets you continue with the same game data on your other linked devices.
On iOS, if you sign in to Game Center, your Game Center nickname is used as your display name in Ranking Match and Achievement Rankings. This display name is shown to other users.
The App provides Achievement Rankings that compare all users' "area reached and exploration rate", "number of titles", and "number of reincarnations". To tally the rankings, these records and your display name (your Game Center nickname, or a name assigned automatically if you are not signed in) are periodically sent to and stored on our servers (Firebase) together with an anonymous user identifier, the app version, and the time they were sent. The app version is used to exclude outdated versions of the App from the rankings. Only users who have opened the App within the last 30 days appear in the rankings, and the display names and records of top users are shown on other users' ranking screens. We do not send information that identifies you personally, such as your email address or device identifiers. If you use "Reset Data" in Settings ("Delete Account" if your account is linked), this data on our servers is also deleted (when connected to the network).
When you use "AI Suggestions" on the action logic editing screen, the text you enter and the list of selectable conditions and actions are sent to the external AI service "TypeSafe" to create a suggestion. Data is sent only if you agree to the explanation shown the first time you use the feature. What you send is used only to create the suggestion and is not stored on our servers. For how TypeSafe handles it, please see TypeSafe's privacy policy. Please do not enter personal information in the input field. You can withdraw your consent at any time from "Withdraw Consent" under "AI Suggestions" in Settings.
Information such as part of the action logic you register for Ranking Match, the abilities used in matches (highest level reached, stat allocation, equipment, attack power, permanent boosts, unlocked pieces, etc.), match results (wins and losses), rating, and titles is stored on our servers to choose match opponents and to calculate and display match results. The action logic and abilities you register may be used as an opponent in other users' matches and shown on their screens. When you register or play a match, the app version is also sent and used only to check that you are on a supported version (it is not stored). In addition, each season we aggregate how many times each option (conditions and actions) is used in registered action logic, together with the average rating of the users who use it, and use these figures to analyze and adjust game balance (only the aggregated figures are used, not in a way that identifies individual users). If you use "Reset Data" in Settings ("Delete Account" if your account is linked), this data on our servers is also deleted (when connected to the network).
Data stored on our servers (Achievement Ranking records; Ranking Match registrations, results, and ranking records; cloud saves; and account linking information) is kept until you use "Reset Data" in Settings ("Delete Account" if your account is linked).
